We at Mesquite Bible Church believe it is a privilege to have a part in the spiritual development of your child. Here is our mission and vision for our Childrens Ministries: Mission: To assist families in their efforts to provide relevant biblical teaching so that a child may first come to faith in Christ and then progress in his or her development toward becoming a dedicated follower of Christ. Vision: To be a biblically functioning community of believers that teaches and models for children how to become fully dedicated followers of Christ. This requires the following activities: Worship - leading children in an appropriate response to God through praise, prayer, and giving, all suited to a child's level of development. Instruction - creative, life-changing, age appropriate teaching which is both biblically sound and relevant to a child's life in the world today. Fellowship - including both small group involvement (allowing a child to experience caring and sharing) and opportunities for a child to participate in serving God and others in the church family. Extension - instilling in children a heartfelt concern for others, particularly their peers, to reach both those who are outside the church and those outside the faith, including other cultures.
In addition, we believe all Childrens Ministires must be:
- Bible and Christ centered
- Relevant
- Enjoyable and creative
- Promoting intentional shepherding
- Physically, emotionally, spiritually safe
- Regularly evaluated
